Mark Shepard

Mark Shepard holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and spent many years leading his family’s industrial‐controls firm. A lifelong Vermonter, he served two terms in the state senate (2003–2006), where his faith shaped his advocacy for God’s design for marriage. With his wife Rebecca, he raised four sons—three now married and one pursuing an engineering degree at Liberty University—and celebrates three grandchildren. Witnessing moral drift in a left‐dominated legislature convinced him that national renewal depends on a virtuous, God-fearing populace. Drawn to CEI by its commitment to biblical principles and Genesis 1:28’s mandate to fill and steward the earth, he now serves on its board and pens an occasional column for RenewAmerica.com.
